Discover Red Sugar, the timeless sweetness that revives memories, year after year.

Since 1925, Sucre Rouge has embodied a precious artisanal tradition, passed down from generation to generation within the Simon family. Every year, starting in the fall, our workshop in Bogny-sur-Meuse gets back to work with passion and loyalty to perpetuate this unique know-how, while respecting this beautiful French tradition.

Made from a mixture of sugar, water, glucose and a natural colouring, Red Sugar is hand-poured into period moulds representing animals, people and objects. This artisanal gesture, carried out with care, allows each candy to take shape. A process faithful to what has been passed down for almost a century.

These sweets, which are only found during the holidays , revive childhood memories and create new moments to share. By tasting them, generations come together around the same emotion: that of the simple and authentic pleasure of tasting a tradition that is passed down from hand to hand.

Le Sucre Rouge is much more than a candy, it is a link between generations, a treasure that we pass on, to offer and savor together. Each melting bite awakens the senses and warms the hearts, evoking the laughter of children, the magic of Saint-Nicolas, Christmas and moments of sharing with family.

We are happy and proud to continue to keep this tradition alive with you.

Order now to celebrate these precious moments (from October to January each year) and share a little of our history, our know-how, and our passion with those you love.

" This confectionery reminds us of our childhood when in the 1950s at Saint-Nicolas, our slipper placed in the evening near the fireplace offered a carrot to Saint Nicholas' donkey. The next day we had the great joy of discovering a mandarin with a scent and taste like no other, a Saint-Nicolas in gingerbread and some small figures in red sugar. "
